My Lamson Cash Carriers Pictures

I have acquired several Lamson items including:

  1. A working wire carrier system (wooden cup on pulley shown below).
  2. A complete working motorized Cable Cash Carrier System (silver carrier below). (This was set up in my previous home)
  3. A complete basket carrier system, but I have no place to set it up (need high ceiling).

Historic info on Lamson Carriers and Pneumatic Tube Systems in Use

The following is from a Lamson sales brochure dated 1945.

In 1880, to speed the flow of cash in his small notion store in Lowell, Massachusetts, William S. Lamson invented a carrier system. He sawed croquet balls in two, hollowed them out, and rolled them in inclined wooden troughs from the sales counter to the cashiers desk… Such was the birth of the world-wide carrier, conveyor and pneumatic tube service which bears the name “Lamson.”

    Hi,
Not sure if in the right place, however, I have a Lamson Pneumatic Tube Machine which I am interested in selling but not sure how to go about it or where to look. Is there any direction someone to give me please. FYI it was used in a department store in its former life.

Just saw your “thought” on your Lamson trolly system. Has it sold yet? If not, what are you asking for it and can you send pics?

Hi , I came across a old Lamson trolley item, It is in mint condition and is on a rail between to decorative brass poles , it looks as if it may be a sales type display ,is there a market for this and what value would be on an item as this , I would like to resell , the display is about 24″ high and maybe 30″ and trolley hangs on a short rail, between two well finished polished brass poles with finial on each and is mounted on a wooden finished base , very fanciful . Thank you , Mark Herzberg ,
